As the year is coming to an end, so do our Iran essentials. The purpose of our 4-part Iran Essentials was not to immediately drown you in-depth information about business in Iran. If you have read the previous parts, you will realize that it is about outlining a rough direction concerning some basics in Iranian business tradition and the country itself to keep an eye on. With the start of the New Year 2016, we will start publishing the “actual” blog to give you more in-depth information.
Within 3 to 4 years, so experts in the marketing business say in Iran, the country will reach a great stage of development and wealth. We still have to underline the political If, but most people are being optimistic after a very long time for towards Iran to have more business opportunities. Within 4 years, we will have the year 2020. The 1920s in western history were quite interesting times themselves. America was in its prohibition time period that served as the background for T. Scott Fitzgerald’s grande Gatsby. Europeans refer to their 1920s simply as the “golden twenties”, or also the” happy twenties”. Normally it has a negative connotation when said that history is repeating itself. Though in that case, many people will welcome the economic developments and shifts coming along.
Alumni from the most different fields of studies are having problems finding a job due to the very high rate of university students and big gap in available jobs. This creates issues with the inflation rate and the rising unemployment quota. A powerful constructive movement to reverse this issue is on its way already though: The creation and funding of new business startups. They proved themselves to be a good source of income, give the highly creative culture of Iranians a chance to market their ideas and solutions and they most importantly create jobs. With all the opportunities and empty spots that have to be filled with smart business ideas, it gives way for a big new wave of young professionals to become entrepreneurs. This is a possibility that has gotten much harder in western countries, since the market is filled and there are more companies big in size that provide different lines of products and services for all needs.
These companies will need some great amount of time for coming to Iran. If Europeans want to take a shot at this, their time is getting ripe. Expand to Iran or start a new business if you already have trustworthy contacts inside the country. Research the market, get consulting, have a good business plan and business model and get to know your audience. That counts for both Non-Iranians and Iranians.
